Updated Monday, 1948L PST, November 18, 2019 -

Through Tuesday expect a decent-looking storm to move in across southwest Canada, Revelstoke and Kingfisher Heli area included, with snow levels near 4,500 feet (1,350m), and moderate snow above that level, about 5-10cm (2-4"), and 15+cm (6+") above 6,000 feet (1,800m). We need some lower snow levels for Revelstoke to get a good base of snow (at the base), but that is coming.

Wednesday through Friday (20-22nd) expect lots of sun mixed with less clouds, aside from the usual foggy periods mainly in the morning, in valley areas, under a pretty strong ridge of high pressure.

Saturday through Monday (23rd-25th) expect a colder and stronger storm to move in, with lower snow levels now, around 3,000 to start on Saturday, dropping to near and below Revelstoke's base (near 2,000 feet, 600m) on Sunday and especially Monday (drier and colder Monday, less snow potential. Moderate to heavy snow amounts are expected, including moderate to the lower elevations/ valley areas (top to bottom at Revy). Meteorologist/ Chris Manly

LONGER RANGE OUTLOOK: Expect stronger and colder Pacific storms to continue moving in across the western US and Canada, as large scale low pressure is in place across western North America, to affect Revelstoke and Kingfisher with frequent snows for the rest of November, and cold enough air temperatures for top to bottom snowfall at the resort elevations including Revelstoke through the 30th (US Thanksgiving Holiday) especially. Moderate to heavy early season accumulations are expected to set us up for the American Thanksgiving holiday (28-31 Nov)!
More details are coming.
Expect a colder and more snowy winter this season. We are in a neutral ENSO pattern (no El Nino or La Nina), leaning to La Nina this winter 2019-2020 I would say. This should produce favorable weather patterns to deliver regular snowfalls to British Columbia for Revelstoke and Kingfisher Heli! Meteorologist/ Chris Manly
